Important update: New Missouri Tobacco Quit Services changes
Missouri Tobacco Quit Services is a free, confidential and effective way to help Missourians quit all forms of tobacco, including e-cigarettes and smokeless tobacco. Use the following information to help your patients quit online, by phone or text with a customized quit plan created just for them.
What is not changing?
The Tobacco Quit phone number: 800-QUIT-NOW.
What is new?
- Health care professional referral forms
- Health care professional education
- Offers 15-minute interactive training modules to help treat nicotine dependence and includes continuing education credits at no cost
- Member website
- Quitnow.net/MO is now YouCanQuit.org for members to enroll for coaching and quit medications
- Youth cessation program
- Help for teens ages 13–18 to quit smoking or vaping. Text “Start My Quit” to 36072 or chat with an online coach.
