Invite your patients to participate in the VOICES of Black Women health study

The study, led by the American Cancer Society, is designed to improve equitable health care for Black women of all ages across the nation.

This Black History Month, you can help the American Cancer Society gather meaningful insights into Black women’s health. Encourage your patients to participate in the VOICES of Black Women study. This groundbreaking initiative will help health care professionals at all levels better understand health conditions, like cancer, and learn how to improve the overall health of Black women.

The American Cancer Society study seeks the unique perspectives of Black women in the U.S. Participants will take an online survey at least twice a year. They won't be asked to alter their lifestyle, take medication, consume tablets or undergo any form of treatment, and there’s no cost for participating. To be eligible, participants must:

  • Be between ages 25 and 55
  • Have no history of cancer (except certain types of skin cancer)
  • Have access to internet service or a cell phone

What you can do

Ask your patients to join the study today at voices.cancer.org. To learn more, they can contact the VOICES Study Team at thevoices@cancer.org.
