As of Jan. 1, 2025, New England Health Care Employees Welfare Fund members will have access to the UnitedHealthcare Choice Plus network.
What this means for you
To view benefits, eligibility, prior authorization requirements and claim updates for these members, please visit the UMR Provider Portal.
You don’t need to take any action during this transition. You can recognize New England Health Care Employees Welfare Fund members by looking at the following member ID card:

New England Health Care Employees Welfare Fund members will have access to the following UnitedHealthcare Choice Plus network benefits:
- The national UnitedHealthcare network of health care professionals and facilities
- Medical utilization management (UM) services, including notification, initial determination and inpatient care management
- The UnitedHealthcare Behavioral Health network and mental health, behavioral health and substance abuse disorders UM services
