Submit medically necessary contact lens orders online

We’re excited to announce that effective Nov. 1, you’ll be able to bill for necessary contact lens orders online through spectera.com. Please refer to our Network Administration Manual (NAM) for appropriate diagnosis codes to use when billing for necessary contact lenses.

As a reminder, necessary contact lenses are considered nonformulary and will be supplied by the provider.

When billing for necessary contact lens orders online you must:

• Enter appropriate diagnosis codes for necessary contact lenses
• Choose Necessary Contact Lenses from the Style drop-down menu
• Under the Right Eye section, enter 1 for Qty/Boxes 
  • Do not enter anything under the Left Eye section. If order is entered on both Right and Left Eye, only one line will pay and the second line will be invalid.
  • Regardless of box count, always enter 1 for Qty/Boxes
