February is Age-Related Macular Degeneration and Low Vision Awareness Month

February 2024

Age-related macular degeneration (ARMD) is the leading cause of blindness among older Americans. However, new treatments have dramatically changed the course of this disease over the last 10 years, making ARMD more manageable than ever before. During ARMD Awareness Month, the American Academy of Ophthalmology is reminding people with ARMD that they can save their vision thanks to recent treatment advances, but early detection is a critical first step.

Our free COPE accredited CE course provides an overview of the multiple subtypes of ARMD, including dry, intermediate and wet ARMD, and geographic atrophy. It explores existing and emerging therapies for ARMD subtypes, as well as their efficacy and safety profiles. Take the Updates in the Management of Macular Degeneration course today.
