Oncology Pay for Performance (P4P) program
With the Oncology Pay for Performance (P4P) program, health care professionals can receive incentives for improving the quality and value of care for their cancer patients who are UnitedHealthcare members. We base provider performance on 7 evidence-based measures associated with higher quality and lower costs, including:
- The prevention of avoidable hospital admissions
- The prevention of avoidable emergency department visits
- End-of-life care (includes 3 measures)
- Pathways compliance
- Advance care planning and pain management
This program is currently in the pilot phase and available to select providers only.

To confirm if you’re eligible to participate in the pilot phase of the program, please contact your UnitedHealthcare network representative or email us.

Eligibility
To participate, you must be an oncology care provider in-network with UnitedHealthcare.
