Lab spotlight: Safeguarding member data

Safeguarding member data is our top priority. One of the ways we protect member information is by not sharing their name on the lab order. After submitting the member’s order, we encourage the office to record the order number found near the top of the page. The order number will match the patient and document number that can be found on the packing slip that is shipped with the member’s glasses.
The office can also search and view a member’s order by selecting Find > Materials from the drop-down menu and completing one of the fields below:
- Member ID
- Last name and date of birth
- Date of submission
- Confirmation number
